Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how TraderPact collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use the TraderPact website and application. TraderPact is operated from Alberta, Canada.

2. Information we collect

When you create or access a TraderPact account, we receive an authenticated account identifier, email address, display name, and authentication status from Supabase or another sign-in provider you choose, including ChatGPT/OpenAI. We also store information you choose to enter, including pre-trade checks, strategy and risk inputs that you save, journal entries, realized profit and loss, notes, and discipline records.

Our hosting and authentication providers may process technical and security information such as device, browser, IP address, session, and diagnostic data as needed to operate and protect the service.

3. Information we do not request

TraderPact does not ask for broker login credentials, connect to brokerage accounts, or execute trades. TraderPact does not receive your plain-text password. Authentication providers process credentials to secure your account. If paid plans are offered, a payment provider processes card and billing details; TraderPact does not directly store your full payment-card number.

If you place sensitive information in a journal note or another free-text field, it will be stored as part of that entry.

4. How we use information

• Authenticate your account and sync your workspace across devices.
• Provide trade checks, risk calculations, journal tools, dashboards, exports, and account features.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
• Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. Consent and limiting collection

We collect and use information for the purposes described here and obtain consent where required. We limit collection to information reasonably needed to provide and protect TraderPact. You can choose not to enter optional trade or journal details.

6. Service providers and cross-border processing

TraderPact uses third-party providers for authentication, hosting, storage, security, email delivery, payment processing, and related infrastructure. These providers may include Supabase for TraderPact email authentication, OpenAI for optional ChatGPT account authentication and hosting services, and Stripe for payments when paid plans are offered. Providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries where they operate. Information processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

Providers receive information only as needed to perform services for TraderPact and are expected to protect it under their agreements and applicable law.

7. When we disclose information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information to service providers described above; when required by law, court order, or a valid government request; to protect users, TraderPact, or the public; or as part of a business transfer where appropriate safeguards apply.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain account and workspace information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect security. You can delete your TraderPact account from Account & data. Deletion removes your TraderPact profile, saved trade checks, and journal entries from the active application database. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, authentication security records, payment records, security logs, or records required by law.

Deleting TraderPact data does not delete a separate ChatGPT, OpenAI, or other third-party account used to sign in.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your sign-in account and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, export journal data using the in-app export tool, or delete your TraderPact account. You may also challenge our privacy practices. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

11. Cookies and session technology

TraderPact and its providers use cookies or similar session technology necessary for authentication, security, and core operation. Browser settings that block required session technology may prevent sign-in or other features from working.

12. Age requirement

TraderPact is intended for people who have reached the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and change the effective date. Privacy questions, access requests, and complaints may be sent to contacttraderpact@gmail.com.
